EMKAL Inc. (“EMKAL”) is committed to protecting your privacy and developing technology that gives you a safe online experience. This Privacy Statement applies to EMKAL’s websites, data collection (including by email) and data usage. By using EMKAL’s website and services, you consent to the data practices described in this statement as amended from time to time.
Collection of Personally Identifying Information
EMKAL may collect personally identifiable information (“PII”), such as your e-mail address, name, home or work address or telephone number, credit card information, age, gender, preferences, and interests.
Information about your computer hardware and software may also be automatically collected by EMKAL. This information can include: your IP address, browser type, domain names, access times and referring website addresses.
Use of Personally Identifying Information
EMKAL collects and uses your PII to operate the EMKAL website and deliver EMKAL services. EMKAL also uses your PII to inform you of other products or services available from EMKAL and its business partners. EMKAL may also contact you via surveys to conduct research about your opinion of current services or of potential new services that may be offered.
EMKAL does not sell, rent or lease its customer lists to third parties. EMKAL may share PII with trusted partners to help us perform statistical analysis, send you email or postal mail, provide customer support, or arrange for deliveries.
EMKAL does not use or disclose sensitive PII, such as race, religion, or political affiliations, without your consent.
EMKAL keeps track of the pages you visit within EMKAL websites in order: (a) to determine which services are the most popular; and (b) to deliver customized content and advertising to customers whose behavior indicates that they are interested in a particular subject area.
EMKAL may disclose your PII, without notice, only if required to: (a) do so by law: (a) comply with a court order; (b) protect and defend the rights or property of EMKAL, its employees, contractors, customers, clients, users and related persons (“EMKAL Parties”); and, (d) act under exigent circumstances to protect the personal safety or property of EMKAL Parties or the public.
EMKAL may send you marketing emails, which you can unsubscribe from by clicking the link at the bottom of the email. We share/store your contact information with our email marketing provider, so they can send these emails on our behalf.
Use of Cookies
EMKAL websites use “cookies” to help you personalize your online experience. A cookie is a text file that is placed on your hard disk by a Web server. Cookies cannot be used to run programs or deliver viruses to your computer. Cookies are uniquely assigned to you, and can only be read by a web server in the domain that issued the cookie to you.
Cookies make it possible for you to create an account on EMKAL’s websites so that you can login and log out of our services. Whether you login, create and account or not, cookies provide a convenience feature to save you time. The cookie tells the Web server that you have returned to a specific page. For example, if you personalize EMKAL pages, or register with EMKAL sites or services, a cookie helps EMKAL to recall your specific information on subsequent visits. This simplifies the process of recording your personal information, such as billing addresses, shipping addresses, and so on. EMKAL may occasionally update this Privacy Statement to reflect company and customer feedback. EMKAL encourages you to periodically review this Statement to be informed of how EMKAL is protecting your information. Your continued use of EMKAL websites and services after any change (whether or not we directly notify you of the changes) constitutes your acceptance of the updated Privacy Statement.
